The beauty of Air plants

I was totally unaware of Air plants (tillandias) until I was enlightened by a green fingered friend who sells these beauties. Recently I chaired a charity event and was thrilled to use a range of air plants for centerpieces, which after doing a little research, realized how many unique ways to display them - a florist friend of mine has even made air plant bouquets! Pop them in sea shells, glass jars with sand, into unique stones, in vintage pots, etc.

Seaside wedding fun

I am so excited to introduce our newest suite in the popular range of stationery! Completely different from our more formal stationery suites, this design is a seaside inspired stationery suite and completely fun. This invitation was printed using a flat print on a heavy weight card stock, budget was a factor so we really worked to keep down the costs, yet evoke a lovely design which captures the frivolity of the location…..

Napa Valley Letterpress suite

I think no one will disagree that letterpress is simply inspiring, combined with a wonderful location in Napa Valley and a color palette that dreams are made of (tobacco and champagne), this stationery suite set a precedent for an Italian feel wedding. Calligraphy by the wonderful Laura Hooper.

Inspirational jewelry designer

I stumbled upon a beautiful collection of handmade jewelry, and since it's based in the UK, but also available to those of us across the pond in the US, I wanted to share!

Catherine is originally from france, and her work encapsulates her 'parisienne' roots and her obvious flair for style. She is widely renowned in the jewelry industry, her recognitions include Catherine was short listed for Holts Academy Jewellery awards in 2008, Awarded a Getting Started bursary award by the worshipful Company of Goldsmiths in 2009 Her work is published in the books: 1000 Jewelry Inspirations by Sandra Salamony and The Volutes cuffs in The New Encyclopaedia of Jewellery Techniques by Jinks McGrath.

Celebrations

It's been nearly twelve years since I married my man and I am so excited to reach this anniversary! We've accomplised so much, and especially now, as we are fixing up our first home together, I feel so lucky to have met this perfect man.
I am always so excited when I first meet with clients, as much as I love designing creations for the wedding, I love to meet couples who are so totally in love and are starting their journey together.

Nickelsons is back!

We've taken a little hiatus, but we're back! We now have a Etsy store, 'Nickelsons' so please visit us there to view our collection.
For those curious, Nickelsons was started in 2005, and in 2008, we moved to europe! It was incredibly difficult to keep the business going whilst in another country, so Nickelsons took break. I have missed working with paper and design so much, and am so excited to be back doing what I love the most.
